Deanie Dempsey to Keynote Summit Luncheon

We’re delighted to announce that Deanie Dempsey, wife of GEN Martin E. Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will be the luncheon keynote speaker at the 2012 Spouse Summit.

Deanie Dempsey was born and raised in New York. After graduating from LeMoyne College with a degree in education, she married her high school sweetheart, who would become General Martin E. Dempsey, the 18th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and began her life as a Military Spouse.

She has traveled the world living in seven of the United States, Germany (11 years) and Saudi Arabia (2 years). She also managed to get her Master’s Degree while living in Colorado.

She has three children: Christopher, Megan, and Caitlin. Marty commissioned all three children in the Army, and Chris remains on active duty. She has five wonderful grandchildren: Kayla, Mackenna and Finley by Chris and daughter-in-law Julie, Luke by Caitlin and son-in-law Shane, and Hunter and Alexander by Megan and son-in-law Kory. Caitlin and Shane are expecting their second child this spring.

Deanie is a role model for Military spouses in every way—from physical fitness to energy, enthusiasm, dedication, and compassion. She is a loyal Army, Notre Dame, Duke, and Mets fan. Like her husband, she is proud to serve!

You can follow Deanie on facebook and on twitter.
